Software engineer and Cum Laude BS Information Technology graduate building real systems end to end — most recently IbajayEats, a food delivery marketplace for my hometown (website, two mobile apps, and a real-time API in one month). I've shipped enterprise tools used by a government office, Android apps, and machine-learning-based assistive technology.
My work sits at the intersection of hardware, on-device machine learning, and practical software — a food delivery platform for my hometown, an object detection app for visually impaired users, a procurement system for a government office. I care about tools that hold up outside a demo: offline-first, fast on weak hardware, and usable by people who didn't ask to think about the tech underneath.

- Built a real-time object detection app for visually impaired users using on-device ML and voice feedback.
- Owned the app through a full research, development, and testing cycle to validate accuracy and usability.
- Architected reusable AppDrawer & BottomNavBar components, centralized routing, and chunked file upload for slow connections.

School Voting System
A secure online election platform for a paying school client — students vote once per position, admins run the election, results are public and live.
- Built the full election lifecycle solo for a paying client — draft, scheduled, ongoing, and closed states, with support for multiple concurrent elections and party-list candidates.
- Prevented double-voting with a unique DB constraint plus a row-locked transaction that re-checks vote status, closing the race condition between rapid duplicate submissions.
- Shipped CSRF protection, bcrypt password hashing, session-fixation prevention, and per-IP rate limiting on auth flows, then deployed to production on Render + Neon Postgres with a custom domain.

IbajayEats — self-initiated platform, open sourced
- Shipped a complete food delivery marketplace in a one-month sprint: a React + TypeScript website, customer and vendor Flutter mobile apps, an admin console, and a FastAPI backend.
- Built the API on FastAPI + async SQLAlchemy + PostgreSQL: JWT auth with email OTP, geolocation-based vendor discovery, order lifecycle management, and live GPS tracking and chat over WebSockets.
- Dockerized the backend for deployment and open-sourced the entire platform at github.com/Piyolo/ibajay-delivery.

- Developed a full-stack procurement management system (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript) for tracking Purchase Requests and Requests for Service, with role-based access for end users, approvers, and admins, plus a full approval workflow.
- Implemented e-signature integration, paginated sortable tables, dashboard stat cards, government-standard printable forms, and LAN-ready deployment for office-wide use.
- Built a face-recognition-based Daily Time Record system using Python and MediaPipe for real-time attendance logging.
- Developed the Flutter mobile frontend for iSkolar, a scholarship management app for DOST Region VI scholars — covering document submission, an event calendar, and multi-step request forms.
